The Perfect Bachelorette Wedding

Somehow I managed to get hooked watching this season of ABC's The Bachelorette. I thought it would be fun to post some photos I found that would make a great inspiration board for Miss Ali's wedding to the man of her choice! Ali loves yellow, so naturally it would be a very chic wedding made up of yellows and some hints of reds to reference the roses that the future groom had to jump through hoops to get.

Enjoy!

Engagement Rings!

Lately my sweetheart and I have been doing some ring shopping! Needless to say, it can be a little overwhelming because diamonds are sooooooo expensive...no matter where you look. Well I think the idea that a man should spend three months salary on a ring is a little out dated! Here are some beautiful rings that I found at Zales for under $1,000! Some are even under $500! But yet, they are still incredibly beautiful and good quality.

I am a big fan of the stackable ring style. Who needs a big hunk of diamond when you can have lots of delicate little ones?

The ring shown above is classic and antique looking but still fashionable and stunning!

My man is a big fan of the color black. I happen to be as well. It's elegant as well as modern. Who says that engagement rings have to be all diamonds? I'm a big fan of changing up tradition and having a ring be a representation of the relationship.

Happy ring shopping everyone!

Not Your Average Bouquets...

I came across some beautiful images of bejeweled and feathered bouquets on the blog of a very talented photographer who I worked with several times during my internship with Exquisite! Event Planning and Design. Jim Kennedy took these fabulous photos of some bouquets that will keep for a lifetime. I love the idea of bouquets that are not made of flowers!

Here are a few good examples of some creative bouquets...

The one above is from the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, which I have to say, is one of my all time favorite wedding magazines! There are just so many creative people working for Martha.

The above bouquet and boutonniere are wonderful examples of vintage inspired creativity. Using buttons and beads to create these decorative touches is a genius idea!

Nothing like a few creative details to make your wedding unique!

A Berry Colored Dream Wedding

On May 2, 2010, the beautiful Courtney Austin finally got her man and married Mr. Garrett Stifle. They have been together for 6 whole years and now finally get to be Mr. & Mrs.! Courtney and I worked for a year to create a wedding full of luscious berry colors, and I would like to share the scrumptious results with all of you!

Courtney absolutely loves tulips and dahlias, so we had the place covered with them. Nancy Lawrence, our wonderful florist did all of the beautiful arrangements.

My favorite part about this wedding (besides the beautiful bride of course!), was all of the fabulous details that we incorporated into it. I made the Wedding Arrow sign, and Candace Lucas, one of Courtney's very talented bridesmaids made this adorable Wedding Tree guestbook that the guests signed and put their thumb prints on.

The bride wore these totally awesome Madden Girl heels that had a wonderful pop of color as she walked everywhere! She also gave her bridesmaids matching silver rose rings.

The reception was a lot of fun with great music, including an acoustic song, "My Favourite Book" by Stars, performed by Courtney's good friend Anica Tijerina for the first dance. It got a little crazy when it came time for the bouquet and garter tosses! Notice the crazy girl in the front with the cut throat desire for that bouquet...

This lovely cake was made by Courtney's sister-in-law Shannon Austin, and was filled to bursting with delicious raspberries! It went perfectly with all the table decorations that Courtney spent a year collecting in antique stores.

What a beautiful wedding! I hope you enjoyed the photos. Special thanks to Ally Brennan and Justin Medeiros for all the beautiful images. And congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Garrett Stifle!

My New Blog!

Hello Everyone! Thank you for checking out my new blog! I hope you enjoy what you see!

Just a little background about me...

I live in Orange County, California and I love all things that have to do with weddings! I work freelance for anyone who is in love and appreciates the beautiful and intricate details that go into celebrating their special day. I am an artist and my medium is event design. I believe that a wedding, or any party really, should be an expression of its hosts. I work with clients who don't expect the ordinary, but expect an accurate representation of their relationship into a well-planned and well-designed event.

I'm really looking forward to starting up this blog! I hope that anyone who stumbles across my site and shares a passion for fun, beautiful weddings will share some of their experiences and ideas!

So cheers! Here's to being in love and celebrating it in style!
