Some Great Romance

What girl isn't a fan of romance movies? It seems like chick flicks can become an addiction to any girl who has ever felt the need for romance. Here are some of my favorite romantic gestures that have ever graced the presence of television and the big screen.

Guys take notes...

10 Things I Hate About You
Heath Ledger wins his girl's heart by making a fool of himself and singing "I need you baby" while dancing along the stadium and escaping the rent-a-cops.

Sweet Home Alabama
Patrick Dempsey and Reece Witherspoon get engaged in Tiffany's when he tells her to "Pick one".

Grey's Anatomy
Meredith makes the floor plan of a house out of candles to show Derek that she's finally ready to settle down with him.

Sleepless in Seattle
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan finally meet on the top of the Empire State building and fall instantly in love.

Love Actually
Mark writes out posters to tell Juliet how innocent his feelings for her really are.

Sabrina
Lady's man David Laraby gets taken out of the game when his big brother, Linus Laraby, steps in to steal Sabrina's heart. Little did he know, she would be the one to end up stealing his heart.

The Notebook
Noah convinces Ali to dance to no music in the middle of an empty street with him after he fell in love at first sight.

Serendipity
After one night of romance, John Cusack searches for his soul mate for years before he finally finds her again.

The Office
Jim and Pam finally get together when Jim gets up the courage to tell Pam how he feels and doesn't take no for an answer.

PS... I Love You
Hillary Swank is left letters by her late husband, Gerard Butler, who wanted to give her a piece of him and help her move past her grief over his death.

Chasing Liberty
Mandy Moore runs all around Europe with handsome Matthew Goode tagging along and keeping her safe while still making sure she has the time of her life.

Never Been Kissed
Drew Barrymore gets her perfect first kiss in the middle of the school baseball field with a stadium full of people cheering as she gets her man.

Gilmore Girls
Luke and Lorelei's romantic tension finally comes to a close when Lorelei makes her move.

The Philadelphia Story
Cary Grant steals Katherine Hepburn away from her seemingly perfect fiancee by making her realize she loves him... on her wedding day no less!

50 First Dates
Adam Sandler pursues a brain damaged Drew Barrymore by meeting her for breakfast each morning and making her fall for him over and over again every morning.

Did I miss any?

Beautiful French Photography

Lately I have been thinking a lot about Paris! I have a deep appreciation for the french culture, and a lot of times I am disappointed with photos taken in Paris or just France in general, because they tend to skip the actual beauty of the culture and focus on the monuments or architecture. Well, I came across the website of Olivier Lalin, a french photographer who shoots weddings not only in Paris, but all over France. Lalin's photos are stunning! There is a rare gift there, where the actual spirit of the moment, the sweet romance of not only the people being photographed, but the french spirit itself, really comes out to play. Here are some of his images. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Mary Lewis Photography

A fellow photography major, and friend of mine from APU - Miss Mary Lewis - has started shooting weddings! Her photos are absolutely stunning. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a creative photographer. What better place to start than with someone who has a degree in photography?! Check out her website and all of her beautiful photos.
